Words have power, an immeasurable amount of power. I know this because when I was a child, I would talk about my vivid dreams and powerful visions – so much so that my father told me I would be a prophet. This gift proved its might at the age of 17 when I left home.

Hearing too many words about why I couldn’t be this or why I wouldn’t be that; family and so-called friends wondering if I would ever become something that would make my parents proud; the loud declarations of their nonbelief – the words I constantly heard about myself were a weight that I could not bear. I had to leave what I’d known all my life – my home of Macon, Ga.

This decision was the best I’ve ever made, and it happened because of the words I told myself. Before leaving, I wrote a four-page letter to my parents, affirming myself, my dreams, and my vision for MY future. In that letter, I declared that I would be defining myself and not accepting what everyone else tried to speak over my life. Thirty years later, I’ve realized a blessed life beyond my dream. I’ve not only grown a thriving 40-year-old beauty brand, but I’ve also molded thousands of entrepreneurs and beauty professionals with personal and professional guidance, teaching and inspirational coaching.

I speak from a place of experience, a place of truth, and a place of LOVE. I teach with intuition, experience-based knowledge and honesty. My background in navigating the complex social and economic scene of South Florida to sustain a growing beauty brand has equipped me with an understanding of what it takes to be a force – no matter the place or time. I believe in inspiring with authenticity and love.
